Stadt-Gut-Hotel Wahlster in Saarbrucken

Rooms are cold and not recommendable in winter as the heating only starts to a limited extent and you can hear the air in the system as the heating knocks loudly at night. You can hear the TV from every neighbor's room and the doors shake as soon as a neighbor leaves the room or comes back. Cleanliness is okay, however, the rooms are partially "renovated" or unsightly repaired joints in the shower etc. For one night as a transition for fitters etc. OK but not more for breakfast I can't really say anything because there wasn't any due to Corona.

Very clean rooms, very friendly and attentive staff. The hotel made a very pleasant impression, the terrace, the smoker's lounge just unique. Breakfast buffet always fresh and perfectly adequate.

Either you hate him or you love him, the hotel operator. First-class cuisine and attentive hotelier who sometimes spoils "his" customers with his own recipes. However, if he gets crooked - he's unlucky! I have been a satisfied customer for years and always enjoy coming back.

Very good location, sufficient parking, very friendly staff and a free room upgrade !!! I am very enthusiastic, also from the equipment of the hotel ..

Nice hotel. My room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom clean and with everything you need. Breakfast was good and sufficient. The hotel is in the city.

I chose the hotel because the menu has promised me in terms of choice and value for money. I have never experienced that the prices differ, as in my case. Example: Beer according to the card 3.20 €, I paid 3.70 € Garlic baguette according to the map 2.90 €, I paid 5.00 € Schnitzel according to the card 10,20 €, paid 12,90 €. I'm certainly not a penny pinch, but I've never experienced that. That's not honest with the guest. I have no understanding.

Room was ok, if super tight. The walls to the next room are very thin, so you can understand every word. The bathroom smelled very severe (wet and musty), the built-in mini-ventilation is totally useless. It seemed to me as if the ceiling had already been painted over several times. Do you want to hide something there? The corridor to the rooms, which is also an escape route, was delivered with dusty plastic flowers. In a dark info corner were still months old leaflets for the last Christmas market. The hotel does NOT have its own parking. You can park for free on the street or in a public parking lot nearby. Breakfast was ok. I would never stay here again.

We had booked 3 rooms through HRS. Arrived and wanted to check in. I asked the boss to write the bill first without breakfast, as the boys might want to sleep in. He just said ... how to sleep in? You're out at 10 ... and in a very harsh tone. After consulting our colleagues, we decided not to stay there overnight. A hotelier should be a little hospitable because he lives off the people who visit his house. He has totally missed his job in this regard. 2 other colleagues were only allowed to check out at 12 because they did not book through HRS. Booking portals certainly cost money, but then “punishing” your guests for using these portals is a no go. When, after talking to my colleagues, I informed him that we would cancel the booking, I was shown one of his 10 fingers and he disappeared into the kitchen!

Clean and good 3star hotel. Gladly again.

As far as OK for 3 stars. In winter, however, not recommended because the heating is not running. On request, alcohol was recommended for warming up. Daytime 14, at night 8 degrees outside temperature are no reason for this heater and the operator ...

Nice hotel in a quiet location-good is that there are many available single rooms that are not facing the street!

Bedinung is always friendly and accommodating Rooms are too small but always clean and well equipped When I am working in Saarbrücken I always stay here.

Good restaurant, nice staff, value for money!

For 3.5 weeks I try an invoice from Mr. Patrick Ludwicki Hotel Wahlster, to get subsequent invoice from him! He was given all the data and names. One statement was, my husband should stop then in a 220 euro hotel, there it would go faster. Well, he would have done but unfortunately everything was fully booked. Yes, if he had done it then he would not have landed in such a dump! We talk about a short copy by email! The last time I called, he got rude and just hung up !!!!

I have never experienced a worse hotel. So unfriendly hotel operator. I have never been treated so disrespectfully. Only the breakfast was ok. Since the rooms in the hotel are comparably cheap, they are gladly booked by employers for their employees. My employer never book this hotel again and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Terrible hotel! Am I wondering where the 3 stars are supposed to come from - and the positive reviews must either be fakes or these people have never seen a decent 3 * hotel ....

O God .. VERY bad customer service. The boss is not friendly at all and you can not communicate with customers like that. It is disrespectful. Will never book here again.

Visited from Australia in 2011. The service was good and the breakfast ok. The rooms were quite small for a family of 4 and a 3rd floor room meant lugging bags up a number of flights of stairs.

If you travel by car, this is an excellent hotel for visits to Saarbrucken. Parking is free, and just in in front of the hotel. The rooms have recently been renovated, the area is quiet, the breakfast is great and the owner is extremely helpful. We liked it a lot.
